Snuggle Up for Literacy Event Recap!

I had the absolute pleasure of attending this incredible literacy event with my son.  My amazing friend, community advocate Aja La'Starr Owens, invited us, and it was truly an unforgettable experience.
The energy was electric!  From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in a world of captivating stories, engaging activities, and a powerful message of self-love and empowerment.  🙌
The authors were phenomenal!  Pancho Rucker's heartfelt stories, like "Hey You Black Girl" and "Chin Up Chest Out," resonated deeply with both kids and adults.  And Stanley K. & Tavonda P. Harvey's "Kash & Palmer Presents: I Love Myself" had everyone captivated with its message of self-esteem.
The interactive activities were a blast!  My son loved participating in the word games, creative writing exercises, and even got to create his own story.  It was inspiring to see so many young minds engaged and excited about reading and writing.  ✏️
This event was a testament to the power of words to shape young minds and inspire a lifelong love of learning.  A huge shoutout to the organizers, authors, and everyone who made this day so special!  Special thanks to my friend, Aja La'Starr Owens, for the invitation, and to the authors who shared their stories and insights -  Pancho Rucker, Stanley K. Harvey, Tavonda P. Harvey, and Charles Smith & Charles Jacoly Smith. 👏
Let's keep the momentum going and continue to celebrate literacy and empower the next generation of readers and writers!
